TIRANA, May 27 – The Defender Europe 23 exercise is currently taking place in 5 military bases throughout Albania, a Western Balkans country which is a member of the North Atlantic Alliance, NATO.
The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, gave on Saturday details of this exercise, noting that it includes land, air and sea operations.
“The Armed Forces are showing maximum readiness and commitment. The United States, Albania and NATO are more united and stronger than ever,” said Peleshi.
The “Defender Europe 2023” military exercise has brought together about 25,000 troops from 29 countries, members of NATO, but also from partner countries.
In the framework of this comprehensive training commitment Albania welcomes and conducts the “Immediate Response” and “Astral Knight” exercises on May 15 – June 9, 2023. /Argumentum.al
