Democrat veteran leader Berisha blasts US Ambassador Kim for serving two ‘masters’ PM Rama and DP deputy Basha

The former Democrat premier, Sali Berisha has criticized again the US ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim at the Democrats’ celebration for the 31st anniversary of the founding of the DP branch in Patos, southern Albania, on Wednesday.
Berisha said that Kim sometimes appears as the ideological secretary of the Socialist Party and sometimes as the spokesperson of the deputy Lulzim Basha.
“In an interview 10 days ago, Ms. Kim, who as you can see goes from the ideological secretary of the SP, to Lul Brava’s spokeswoman, according to the climate, was boasting about American investment during her time,” said Berisha.
“We are more pro-American than everyone else,” said Berisha. The former prime minister brought to attention the influx of American investment during his rule, starting with Bechtel which built the Nation Road. He said that Bechtel was declared the winner in the international tender in which 7 giant European and world companies participated and built Rruga e Kombit (Nation Road) after an international tender held in London. Meanwhile, he sent a message to the US ambassador not to encourage direct procurement, which is known worldwide as corrupt.
“Madam, do not encourage direct procurement in this country because regardless of the country they come for definition in the anti-corruption manuals, direct procurement is corrupt,” said Berisha. /argumentum.al
