TIRANA – “Business representatives will be able to benefit from sovereign guarantee funds set up by Albanian government to help hit businesses pay their employees and deal with the effects of the Covid-19,” said on Saturday Minister of Finance and Economy Anila Denaj.
Denaj announced in a meeting with business representatives that the government was ready to launch “Albania 2030” national plan for the recovery and new economic and social development of Albania.
In the meantime she said businesses and individuals could benefit from the second postponement of loan installment payments, in commercial banks, until the set deadline of August 31, 2020.
In addition the minister noted that businesses facing problems which have a major impact on their day-to-day activity could address the need for a second guarantee, launched by the Albanian government in May this year.
“The Albanian state undertakes to guarantee 60% of the loan principal according to the interest rate,” said Denaj. /argumentum.al
