TIRANA, November 9 – The agreement between Albania and Italy for the immigrant center that will be built in Shengjin, northern Albania, is not final. The government announced that the deal will be sent to parliament and it will also be made transparent to all.
“The agreement signed by the Prime Minister (Edi Rama) in Rome has gone through the entire anticipated process in the government and will be presented to the Albanian parliament to be ratified. It is not an agreement that has completed its journey. The Prime Minister has made it clear and no one should worry about its purpose or legal framework as it respects international law and the obligations of the parties,” said the number two of the government in a press conference on Thursday.
Balluku said that citizens will hear in parliamentary committees how the property will be managed, who will manage it and how long the agreement will last. “The agreement will be transparent and everyone can read it,” said the deputy premier. /argumentum.al
