TIRANA, May 22 – May 14 was an electoral farce, where crime and gangs changed the result of the local elections by order of the prime minister, has said the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha.
In a press statement on Monday Berisha said that documents prove that the gangs with the fiercest enmity towards each other joined together, ordered by the head-Godfather, Edi Rama in Shkodra. “Edi Rama’s gangs did everything to change the result of the elections in many areas of the country. But the gangs were a fusion with the government gangs, engineers, directors and employees who have terrorized the citizens with the threat: “Vote or life!”
In addition Berisha said that the Democratic Party has video evidence and other facts proving Edi Rama’s brutal unconstitutional and illegal interventions in controlling the vote of Albanian voters throughout the country.
Seriously convicted criminals as rapists have accompanied Socialist deputies and have been appointed counters in the counting centers in Devoll, for example. “In other polling stations citizens were forced not to enter the secret room at all, because they received the form filled out by the commissioner,” said the DP head.
The denunciations by the DP are being verified by a commission set up in the Democratic Party, which, according to Berisha, will compile a voluminous material, the findings of which have already been made available to the OSCE-ODIHR observers. /argumentum.al
