TIRANA, March 30 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, has returned to the request for the establishment of a Commission of Inquiry on the McGonigal case as the developments of the court process in the US for the former head of the FBI may reveal information about properties that he also owns in Albania.
“It has been decided that the court will confiscate all of McGonigal’s assets. It is vital to set up a parliamentary investigative commission to discover and find all of McGonigal’s assets in Albania,” said Berisha during the plenary session of the Assembly on Thursday.
Further Berisha said that denying the reality of criminality in the country is part of the Rama government’s strategy to depopulate Albania.
“In 4 days, 4 dead, 4 murdered. Under the motto “Heads to each other”, these are also calculable conditions for the departure of the Albanians. He is a crime minister, he cannot be called prime minister,” he said.
Berisha also objected to the report of the Water Regulatory Entity which, according to him, does not reflect the reality of the increase in the price of water and its lack in many areas. “You increased the price under the pretext that you want to provide 24-hour supply,” he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku responded to these accusations.
“There has been no increase in the price of water, but there has definitely been a significant reduction in the technical losses of the network,” she said.
Many opposition MPs reminded the majority of the unfulfilled promise to supply 24 hours of water to all municipalities. /Argumentum.al
