Democratic Party (DP) Chairman Lulzim Basha together with Democrat mayoral candidate Indrit Sefa held a meeting in Lushnja, southern Albania, on Wednesday with farmers and heads of farmers’ associations of this municipality where mayoral elections will be held on March 6.
“The price of oil and the value of oil tolls are two sides of the same coin. They have raised the price of oil by raising taxes and oil tolls are nothing but the bone that is thrown to get your vote and then steal more from you that this Sunday will receive the answer from all the farmers of Lushnja,” Said Basha, who called on the local voters to cast their votes for the DP candidate, Indrit Sefa.
He appealed to the Lushnja citizens to unite votes on March 6 against a government that has only lied and only stolen from the people.
Meanwhile, DP Secretary General Gazment Bardhi said that “Edi Rama was in Lushnja today, but did not apologize for turning the municipality into a crime scene.”
In a statement on Wednesday, Bardhi stressed that “Rama did not distance himself from corruption and theft in the municipality of Lushnja and presented today to the citizens of Lushnja the same alternative, a member of the same team, who has been holding this municipality hostage for 15 years.”
“Lushnja has early elections on March 6 because Edi Rama abused the trust of the people of Lushnja. The entire leadership chain of the municipality and of the Socialist Party Lushnja Branch is in prison today. Eriselda Sefa, the candidate of Edi Rama in Lushnja, is herself reported to SPAK for abuses with the duty and the trust of the citizens,” said Bardhi. / Argumentum.al
