DP Insists on Punishment of Authors of File 184

Opposition Democratic Party (DP) has decided to appeal the decision of the Dibra Prosecutor’s Office to close the investigation into file 184 accusing only 4 local officials of election fraud.
In a statement to the media, the DP said on Saturday, among other things, that “real election thieves must face the law at any time and whoever they are!”
The DP Secretary General, Gazment Bardhi made the request in the capacity of the complainant 4 years ago of the crime of buying elections in Dibra, northeastern Albania.
The Democratic Party stressed that justice did not provide justice regarding the file 184 and the dismissal of the case for those who ordered the election manipulation starting with PM Edi Rama.
“The investigation, launched on the basis of the DP report lasted for more than 4 years with the illegal tactical intention to exceed the procedural deadlines to avoid punishing persons who have committed electoral crimes,” said the request sent by the DP Secretary of General to the prosecution.
The DP once again expressed the conviction that the real election thieves must face the law at any time and whoever they are. /argumentum.al
