TIRANA, June 9 – Democratic Party (DP) lawmaker Jorida Tabaku has said that the World Bank report talks about a situation of stagflation.
Discussing the adoption of the Normative Act on transparency and price monitoring for some basic food products and other related products as a result of the special situation created in the market, Tabaku said that the World Bank report was released on Thursday which speaks of a stagflation situation, as there is high inflation and low economic growth that is revised downwards.
“What is happening to the economy?” An extraordinary increase in prices. INSTAT says that only within the group of oils, fats, foods prices have increased 29.1%. Bread, cereals 18.6%, milk, butter, eggs 18.45, jam, honey, sweets 15%. This is the situation, “Tabaku said in her speech in the plenary session of Parliament on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Tabaku said that the bridge over Buna river, leaves the northern city of Shkodra out of attention.
A project to construct a bridge between Velipoja and Ulcinj was introduced in a meeting between Premier Edi Rama and his Montenegrin counterpart Dritan Abazovic in Ohrid Summit on Wednesday.
“Buna Bridge is a project that leaves Shkodra completely out of attention. It removes all the attractions of Shkodra and makes it possible for everything in Shkodra to come to the background and everything come out in the foreground in Montenegro,” she stressed.
Tabaku also spoke about incinerators, an issue which seems that there are no responsible people.
“The last element is the incinerators. Today for that 430 million euro – fund there should have been someone before justice. They could not come here today without any responsibility or guilt,” Tabaku said. /Argumentum.al
