The focus of the meeting of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party (DP) held on Wednesday was the plenary session of Parliament where the new government and the program of “Rama 3” are expected to be voted on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by the chairman Lulzim Basha and the vice-chairmen, Enkelejd Alibeaj, Jorida Tabaku and Grida Duma, but also the deputies Oerd Bylykbashi, Helidon Bushati, Albana Vokshi, Luciano Boçi, Tomorr Alizoti and Edi Paloka, although some of them are clearly positioned in support of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
But it was reported that MPs Flamur Noka and Tritan Shehu who have been seen next to Berisha in many events, did not attend the meeting.
The meeting decided not to ask questions about the government’s program and during the discussions each MP could speak for 10 minutes, said a press release issued by the DP press office on Wednesday.
The DP deputies will focus the discussion on three main issues, such as the Covid-19 pandemic, the earthquake and crime, instead of the ones that according to the DP the government has failed.
There is no information that the issue of Berisha was discussed at the meeting as it’s reported that the veteran leader has called a meeting in the capital Tirana on Thursday at 18:00 which he calls “an action to save the DP”.
Anyway Berisha’s launch of so called Foltore will show the trend of the developments in DP and on top of all how much it will affect Basha’s position. / argumentum.al
