TIRANA, August 8 – The Democratic Party (DP) has filed in the special prosecution authority, SPAK the file for the 65-story “Mali i Tiranes” tower, 185 meters high, which has begun to be built behind the Opera and Ballet Theater in Tirana.
The chairwoman of the group of DP councilors in the municipal council of Tirana, Enriketa Papa together with a group of democratic councilors submitted to SPAK the full denunciation file, mainly about the way of financing the construction of the highest tower in Tirana.
“This is the first step. The evidence was collected in the context of abuse of office, corruption and money laundering,” the she said in a statement to the media.
Through a reaction on social networks, the DP chairman, Lulzim Basha, said that “the fight against corruption is non-negotiable for the Democratic Party.”
