“A policy that has lost all interest in the fate of the people and does not care to solve their problems. A dismantled democracy to the end. A parliament that did not come as a will of the citizens’ vote, as the OHDIR report says. With a degraded local government after more than 30 years of democracy, which is more focused than ever on the handful of landowners who do not even deserve to be called mayors.”
This is how the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha described the current situation in Albania in a meeting with the Democrats of unit no. 2 in Tirana on Saturday.
“Our first mission on the road to return hope to Albanians after we have separated from evil, after we have decided to leave behind the evil, the shadows of the past and corruption is to return the human face to politics,” Basha said. According to him, this can be done by electing the best people in the governing and legislative institutions for them to function.
Further on Basha insisted that the vetting of politicians is indispensable, something supported by Albanians.
“Why do those who do vetting for judges, prosecutors, carpenters, police officers, notaries do not accept vetting for themselves? Why? Why? Because salt is separated from sugar. It is easy to accuse from morning till night, to slander as Sali Berisha does with Edi Rama, Erion Veliaj and company,” he said.
In conclusion, the DP Head, Basha said that the people who have done business with Edi Rama’s oligarchs today are with Sali Berisha and Edi Rama, plotting day by day against the democrats and against the Albanians. / Argumentum.al
