Democratic Party (DP) leader Lulzim Basha has spoken for the first time since the March 6 elections in six municipalities in Albania where his party is ranked third political force in most of them.Basha said on Monday that the March 6 process was an ‘anomaly of an anomaly’ and that a deep reform is needed.
“First, I want the process to end and I call on all counters to continue the counting process until the end. The March 6 process was the anomaly of an anomaly. The first anomaly is the June monist elections, the other anomaly is the mayors with a criminal past. When there is no reflection on the anomalies, I believe that the vast majority of Albanians have understood the need for a deep reform,” said Basha. “Terrible what happened,” said PD deputy Ervin Salianji, a supporter of Basha on Monday. He announced that the meeting of the parliamentary group of the DP has been temporarily postponed which is expected to discuss exactly the result in the elections. /Argumentum.al
