“Our goal is to liberate Albania and the Albanians from a gang of robbers who have taken the country’s democracy hostage,” has said the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha who is participating in the political assembly of the European People’s Party in Brussels on Monday.
Asked about political dialogue as one of the main points for Albania’s European integration, Basha said political dialogue is a tool, not an end in itself.
According to him, DP will do everything to bring back to Albania the conditions and opportunities for a functioning democracy.
DP lost the elections of April 25 but keeps hope to come to power soon without being clear how. PM Edi Rama has disregarded all alternatives of the opposition but keeps inviting Bashar to collaborate without any conditions and ‘red lines’.
But Basha declared in Brussels as following: “We will do everything inside and outside the parliament, inside and outside the country, in order to bring back to Albania as soon as possible the conditions and opportunities for a functioning democracy based on order, security, economic development, employment and end of the emigration hemorrhage of young people.” / argumentum.al
