“Some 430 million euros have been spent on incinerators, money that is taken from Albanians and that money misses in health and social care, pensions, and has been unjustly removed from the economic aid scheme.”
This statement was made by Lulzim Basha, chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), at a press conference in Tirana on Sunday.
He blasted the government of PM Edi Rama for a corrupt affair of incinerators stealing 430 million euros from Albanians. According to him, thanks to the work of DP members in the parliamentary inquiry commission anyone can now see how much Albanian money has been stolen when it was paid while the work has not started.
“Can a government carry out 17 actions in one day? Could 35 million euros be paid for the Tirana Incinerator when not even 50% of the work has been completed? The current candidate for the Municipality of Durres from the Socialist Party has signed a gift of 10 million euros to the company. 10 million euros and Durres is drowned by garbage. Do you remember who ordered the payment from the Municipality of Durres and other municipalities? Of course, Edi Rama,” said DP head.
Basha stressed it is clear that the mastermind of all this scheme is Rama and in this frame he called on the serious crimes prosecutors authority, SPAK to arrest the premier.
“I demand the arrest of the head rather than the tail,” he said adding that no one believes that this corrupt scheme could have been done without the blessing of Edi Rama. / Argumentum.al
