TIRANA, June 18 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, has accused the head of the government, Edi Rama, saying that he canceled the joint meeting of the two governments of Albania and Kosovo as a “favor” that was asked of him from Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
Vucic, according to Berisha, would release the three policemen kidnapped in Kosovo as a reward, but he did not keep his word.
In the meantime Berisha said that Rama lost face with his brutal intervention in the internal affairs of Kosovo and the cancellation of the scheduled meeting between the two governments.
Rama canceled the meeting of the governments of Albania and Kosovo to be held in Gjakova a few days ago.
According to Berisha, the decisive rejection by the Kosovo authorities of the unprecedented intervention of Rama, its condemnation by all Albanians, but also the most prominent international analysts for the region, made his attempt as an anti-national kamikaze to do little service to his master in Belgrade.
In addition, Berisha said that it is now universally known that “Euroatlanticist” Edi Rama is under open criminal investigation by the Washington court for the terrible McGonigal affair.
“The corruption of the former FBI counterintelligence chief for New York, Charles McGonigal, his engagement by Rama when he was on duty against the Albanian opposition, the case prosecutor’s proposal to join the Albanian file with McGonigal’s Russian file is the burning issue of the open criminal investigation that terrifies Edi Rama and soon it will make him a resident of Rikers Island (island in the East River in the Bronx that contains New York City’s largest jail),” said Berisha. /argumentum.al
