TIRANA, May 17 – “The entire central government, the entire local government, turned into an electoral mafia machine nn these elections (May 14) more than in any other election in 32 years,” said the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha in a press conference on Wednesday.
Berisha said that those who ignore this reality, as a reality incompatible with any standard of free voting, are members of the narco-state mafia or have problems with themselves.
He added that, “with Edi Rama there is no choice, and every Albanian who wants or believes that the rule of law, that the market economy, that the future is guaranteed only with the free vote, must do everything to remove this enemy of the vote of Albanians.”
Berisha guaranteed the citizens and every democrat that he will make an analysis of the entire DP’s electoral activity, which will be comprehensive.
Berisha also said that the opposition in these elections proved that it is indestructible and 500,000 citizens voted for it.
He said that contrary to every kind of principle and law, the DP, the main opposition force entered the election without a logo and the name of the coalition chairman was rejected in the most Stalinist manner and all of this was aimed at eliminating the opposition.
Berisha said that this attempt failed as the opposition is on its feet, determined to stand stronger than ever for the interests of Albanians. /argumentum.al
