TIRANA, May 7 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, was in Berat for an election campaign with the candidate of the “Together We Win” coalition, Zija Ismaili. During his speech on Sunday, Berisha called on the citizens to vote for the candidate of the Berisha-Meta coalition, saying that in this case they will vote for themselves.
“The wind of victory, the wind of change and the restoration of democracy and the restoration of pluralism is blowing throughout the country. I invite citizens on the 14th to vote for themselves. The vote for themselves is for the change of Berat and the country in my absolute conviction,” said Berisha.
Further he said that PM Edi Rama does not have concentration camps or firing squads, but he has in his hand the terrible means of impoverishing the Albanians by driving them out of their country every day. “This man has no concentration prisons, but has established the tyranny of poverty. Poverty is emptying our cities, poverty that does not come from nature but from the government official who steals day and night,” said Berisha.
He mentioned as examples the fact that Rama builds the road with 24 million euros when in Europe it is built with 2-3 million euros, builds the school with 6 million, when in the world it is done with 700,000 euros. His ministers take public property as strategic investors in violation of the law. “Their power is used for family tenders and this is because Edi Rama leads with this spirit,” he said. /Argumentum.al
