TIRANA, October 18 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha has warned that he would continue the legal proceedings against the US and Great Britain for the decisions declaring him persona non- grata.
Berisha pointed out that he would not be separated from the Paris trial against the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, until the end of his life.
He said that Blinken’s decision, without evidence and facts, has hurt his dignity.
“I am challenging him in court. I have taken the matter to Paris, I am pursuing it in England. Now it is at the Court of Cassation in Paris,” said Berisha.
“I will not give up my trial against Antony Blinken until the end of my life. I do this because he made a decision ‘sine materia’ and hurt my dignity,” said the former Albanian prime minister.
Berisha hoped that the court would make the right ruling. “It will be the courtroom that will clarify the truth,” DP head said. /Argumentum.al
