TIRANA, November 25 – “It is a civil protest that will show the EU leaders how pro-European the Albanian opposition is,” this is the message conveyed by the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP) according to whom this stance will be shown on December 6.
“We will express our strong support for European values,” he said, adding that the event aims at finally liquidating the Serbian-Russian ‘Open Balkans’ project. “The EU lands (in Albania) with the flag of the ‘Berlin Process’,” said Berisha in the weekly press conference on Friday.
In the meantime Berisha was not concerned that the other group within the DP, which “de juro” is led by Enkelejd Alibeaj, a benjamin of the former DP head, Lulzim Basha, is formalizing the candidates for the local elections on May 14. According to Berisha, all the candidates are collaborators in tenders with the socialists and there is evidence of that so-called group of tender men.
Berisha said that Basha suffers from the syndrome of greed for money, a weakness that PM Edi Rama has used to enslave him. “He found a weak being, he found a person crazy after money being like him,” he said.
In a comment about those arrested for the drug group in Fier, Berisha is confident that they are Prime Minister Rama’s people. /Argumentum.al
