TIRANA, October 21 – The head of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha raises the alarm that PM Edi Rama has started to manipulate the upcoming local elections in Albania.
Berisha said that DP will not boycott these elections, but will face Rama and his regime.
“This man has started manipulating the elections and thinks that we will boycott them. We do not boycott elections, we will face him. We consider the vote as sacred and we will do everything so that Albanians can vote freely,” said Berisha in a meeting with the heads of DP branches of districts on Friday
“We are in the dictatorship of one party,” Berisha said, stressing that the Democrats will start the primaries to choose candidates for the local elections.
“You are all political personalities and you all know clearly that a one-party state has been installed here in Albania, and anyone who reads about dictatorships, one of the most common forms of them, is the states where one party rules. And the rest is suppressed and only suppressed. This is today’s Albanian reality,” said Berisha. /Argumentum.al
