The head of the National Council of the Democratic Party (DP), Edi Paloka has reacted following the statement of the US Ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim, who is in her home country to accompany Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on his visit to the US.
Ambassador Kim declared on social networks on Wednesday that “corruption should be taken very seriously”.
Kim’s statement was made after the meeting of the former Premier, Sali Berisha in Fier where he blasted Ambassador Kim for supporting a corrupt premier like Edi Rama.
But the senior DP official, Paloka, who accompanied Berisha from his house to Parliament when the parliamentary session started on September 10, retorted wondering how an Ambassador speaks of taking ‘very seriously’ corruption and stands by the side of PM Rama.
“To say that you are ‘serious’ towards corruption, as you stay by the side of Rama, people do not take you seriously,” said Paloka in a post on his FB account on Wednesday.
The DP founder, Sali Berisha said in Fier on Tuesday that the Democratic Party can never win against Prime Minister Edi Rama, the greatest traitor of the Albanian nation after former communist dictator, Enver Hoxha, with the current chairman Lulzim Basha as leader of the party because the latter is being held hostage after stabbing on the back the largest opposition political force in Albania. /argumentum.al
