TIRANA, June 17 – The Democratic Party (DP) has opposed the government’s decision to legalize cannabis for medical purposes, describing it as the legalization of a criminal sector, which brings serious consequences for Albania. The general secretary of the DP, Flamur Noka, declared on Saturday that this decision is the tax that the prime minister paid to the gangs for stealing the elections.
A day after the government approved the draft law on the cultivation of cannabis for medical purposes the Democratic Party has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of turning the country into the “Republic of Cannabis”, installing a narco-state.
Democrat deputy Noka declared in the press conference that the government is legalizing a criminal sector and a project that has as its godfather, billionaire George Soros, which will have great consequences for the future of the country.
Noka stressed that the legalization of cannabis is the reward that the prime minister is giving to the gangs that engaged in buying elections.
While the draft law is expected to be approved in the Assembly, the General Secretary of DP had a call for his socialist colleagues, telling them that if they approve this bill, they will remain in history either as socialists or as cannabists. /argumentum.al
