TIRANA, September 17 – Deputy and head of the National Council of the Democratic Party (DP), Edi Paloka said in a TV talk show on Saturday that there would be protests with a certain symbolism or large protests.
Paloka warned that the protests would not be just a walk on the boulevard hinting at the protests organized by opposition when Lulzim Basha was chairman.
The protests are part of DP’s strategy because Albanians are worse than ever, said Paloka, who announced that now is more than the optimal time. “Protests will be like the one organized by Mr. Meta at the incinerator site (in Tirana). I wasn’t there for personal reasons, but we all gave our support. The place where the protest took place had so many opportunities to gather people.”
According to Paloka, the big protests will not be just a walk in the boulevard. “If we undertake larger protests, they will have a different scenario. They will not be walking in the boulevard and returning home without achieving anything. The large protests will have a goal to achieve,” said Paloka.
