Duro Macut officially assumed the role of Prime Minister of Serbia today, receiving the position from former Prime Minister Miloš Vučević.
The handover ceremony took place at the Serbian government building in Belgrade, a day after the National Assembly of Serbia voted to approve the new government.
The new Serbian government is expected to hold its first session of the new term later today.
Earlier this week, Macut presented his program and cabinet members to parliament.
On Wednesday, the National Assembly of Serbia confirmed the composition of the new government, which includes a total of 31 members. Prime Minister Macut and his cabinet members were sworn in before the deputies, in the presence of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
