If the state would crack down on real corruption as it does with “doctors”, without a doubt Albania would be at the top of the countries with minimal corruption.
But unfortunately it is at the top of the countries in the world for rampant corruption. This is because real corruption is developed by the “state”, the power is nourished and protected by it.
Big noise these days that they have arrested two health personnel for 6000-7000 new lek. First of all, to clarify, none of them are doctors, as is propagated with cynicism and ill will towards them. Yes, there are two people, health personnel. But what draws the attention and makes anyone wonder is all that long procedure of surveillance, follow-up, that public way of arrest for only 6000-7000 lek.
While the massive corruption, destructive of the country and democracy, with millions of Euros flourishes quietly and “fed” well! And the doctors and staff are hit precisely to distract attention from the tragic corruption in the country.
Even those illegal actions of health personnel are reprehensible. But everything has its dimensions, the ways in which it should be fought and how the culprits should be punished or stopped. There are causes and sources different from real corruption!
And let’s not forget that doctors and staff are among the most devoted parts of Albanian society. Therefore, enough of such theatrics to hide and disguise the real corruption! /Argumentum.al
