The chairman of the parliamentary group of the ruling Socialist Party (SP), Taulant Balla welcomed on Tuesday the draft motion for a resolution of the European Parliament on the report of the European Commission for Albania for 2021.
Balla said that “it is clearly reiterated in the text of the draft resolution that Albania has met all the conditions and has produced stable results in basic areas for holding the First Intergovernmental Conference.”
“We support the position held by the rapporteur for Albania in the European Parliament, Isabel Santos, who during her presentation yesterday at the Committee on Foreign Policy (AFET) stressed the important results in justice reform and the fight against corruption that the country has registered and rightly called the enlargement policy of in an unjustified stagnation,” said Balla.
In conclusion the Socialist top MP said that despite the decision-making in the EU, Albania has only one plan A and that is EU membership. / Argumentum.al
