The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Viola von Cramon, has considered as unacceptable the participation of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti as a voter in the general parliamentary elections in Albania.
Viola von Cramon could not understand this action of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, as she recalled that in Kosovo they complain about interference from Serbia and Aleksandar Vucic.
“I do not understand what all this is,” she said as quoted by Gazeta Express on Sunday. “On the one hand, everyone in Kosovo complains about interference from Serbia or President Aleksandar Vucic himself, but on the other hand, the Prime Minister of Kosovo votes in a neighboring country. Unacceptable. At least not for me,” she said in harsh tones.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, voted in Sunday’s elections in Albania shortly after the polling stations were opened, while he invited the citizens of Albania to do the same.
This action of Kurti has provoked many reactions from Kosovo. The acting chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj said that the prime minister is more interested in the officials of his party in Albania than in the fate of the citizens of Kosovo.
Eugen Cakolli from the Democratic Institute of Kosovo also considered unacceptable the fact that Kurti participated as a voter in the parliamentary elections in Albania. /argumentum.al
