The reelected chairman of the opposition Democratic Party (DP) received the Head of the EU Delegation to Albania, Luigi Soreca at party’s headquarters on Tuesday.
This was announced by Soreca on a post on Twitter.
Basha was riconfirmed as party head in elections which were held last Sunday and according to final results he won over his 3 challengers getting 81 percent of the votes of the membership that took part in the election.
According to Soreca, the current political situation in the run up to the new legislature starting next September in Albania was one of the topics discussed. Soreca said that another issue which was discussed was the important next steps in the EU integration process of Albania.

DP is in opposition since 2013 and there are many in that party who hold Basha responsible for the fifth consecutive loss in local and general elections.
