TIRANA, April 25 – When asked by journalists three times in a row whether the Ohrid agreement is alive and whether Serbia’s vote against Kosovo in the Council of Europe is a violation of the agreement, EU spokesman Peter Stano refused to give a definite answer in a press conference in Brussels on Tuesday.
Stano said that the EU is aware of the vote that took place in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, emphasizing that the position of the EU is that all the articles of the (Ohrid) agreement must be implemented, said Express on Tuesday.
One of the journalists who was present, seeing Stano’s refusal to give a specific answer, asked him if Serbia violated the agreement and asked for a “yes” or “no” answer.
After this question, one of the other spokespersons, who was at the conference with Stano intervened, saying that it is up to the journalists to ask the question and the EU spokespersons to give the answer.
“I can repeat that we are aware of the vote that took place yesterday in the Council of Europe,” said Stano.
In the meantime it is expected that Kosovo PM Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will meet in Brussels on May 2. /Argumentum.al
