The former number two spy of Kosovo has been picked up by Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama as his advisor in the new government cabinet, reported Express and syri.net media outlets on Monday.
Vlora Hyseni has been the Deputy Director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA) and she was dismissed by PM Albin Kurti and President Vjosa Osmani from all KIA positions a few months ago.
She led the KIA for four months during the period when the institution whose task was to collect and disseminate important information about the state to the Prime Minister and the President was left without a director.
Hyseni was in charge of the highest security and intelligence institution from December last year, when director Kreshnik Gashi was fired, until April this year, when Petrit Ajeti was appointed director.
She is described as an expert having very good knowledge of security issues and international relations. She speaks several foreign languages.
In February 2019, Vlora Hyseni was appointed Deputy Director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency. Previously, she was the director of foreign relations at KIA.
Such news was published during the visit of the Prime Minister, Edi Rama to Pristina where he held talks with his host Albin Kurti and had meetings with leaders of political parties of Kosovo. / Argumentum.al
