TIRANA, May 25 – Former US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Richard Grenell, held a meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana on Thursday.
The former American official has published on Twitter photos from the meeting with Rama, while announcing that they discussed doing more for the release of former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci from prison.
Grenell said that the charges against Thaci are false and the witnesses are said to have been manipulated by Jack Smith.
“I had lunch with the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, one of our biggest allies in NATO, and we agreed that more should be done to release Hashim Thaci from prison in The Hague as soon as possible. The charges against him are false and witnesses say they were manipulated by Jack Smith,” Grenell said. /argumentum.al
