Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias will meet with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Ankara on Thursday, following scheduling adjustments announced on Tuesday.
Dendias was scheduled to meet a day earlier, but diplomatic sources said that the two ministers agreed during a call to Thursday, April 15. Their meeting will be followed by joint statements to the press at approximately 19:00.
On Wednesday, Dendias will head to Istanbul to meet with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. He will return to Athens the same evening to attend an e-meeting of NATO foreign and defense ministers on Afghanistan, and fly to Ankara on Thursday.
In Turkey he will be accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy & Openness Kostas Fragogiannis.
