TIRANA, July 24 – The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Albania, Bulgaria and North Macedonia will meet in Brindisi, Italy, on Thursday as part of an initiative that aims to increase coordination between the countries crossed by Pan-European Corridor VIII.
The Pan-European Corridor VIII is a strategic infrastructure between the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea, an ideal platform for increasing political dialogue and economic cooperation between the countries of the region.
In a press release of the Italian embassy in Albania quoted by ATA on Monday, it is announced that the focus of the meeting will be integration and cooperation, dealing with topics such as connection, infrastructures, economic growth and dialogue with civil society.
The meeting will be attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Olta Xhaçka, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, Mariya Gabriel and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani.
The deliberations of the meeting will take place inside Castello Federiciano starting at 11:30 on Thursday and at the end of its proceedings a joint press conference of the ministers will be held at the Navy Officers’ Club near Castello Federiciano around 12:50 on Thursday. /argumentum.al
