President Ilir Meta met on Friday with former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, local media reported.
What brought the two figures together was a decoration ceremony that took place in the presidency, where the publicist Ndriçim Kulla was awarded the title ‘Honor of the Nation’.
Among many personalities, the guest was also the veteran leader of the Democratic Party (DP) Berisha, who was seen next to Meta in some photos published by LSA.
Berisha’s presence in the Presidency has drawn the attention of public opinion and diplomats as the situation in the DP is still hectic after the recognition by the court of the Re-establishment group.
On Thursday Berisha was part of the DP Parliament group in plenary session of Parliament despite the objection of supporters of Lulzim Basha, former DP head who resigned a few days ago under pressure of MPs. /Argumentum.al
