Elena Sadiku and Amy Gallacher spoke to Celtic TV and to The Celtic Star after Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Partick Thistle that takes Celtic FC Women a step closer to a first ever SWPL title. One down, two to go. COYGIG!
Here is what Elena and Amy had to say before heading to the Hydro for the Celtic FC POTY Awards where Amy won Players Player of the Year (and should have won the Player of the Year too!) and Elena met up with her childhood hero Henrik Larsson, Celtic’s King of Kings.
Elena said when she arrived that her target was to win the league and if she could do that then maybe she could be called Celtic’s Queen of Queens. She is now just two wins away from making that happen!

And here’s the what Elena had to say to Celtic TV: “We created enough chances to score goals. Fair win, we controlled the game, we dominated the game. After, I feel like we should’ve scored a little bit more but at the same time, we got the job done, we won the game, and we scored three so I’m pretty okay with that.
“I think we dominated everything. We press really well, we attack well. Sometimes, especially first half, I feel the pace was not as fast as I want us to play but like I said, overall, a good team performance, I’m very happy with the subs as well, they came in with energy, and that was also a difference from the overall so I’m very happy with the outcome and the result.
