TIRANA, April 10 – The Chairman of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta, has stated that a kilometer of road in Albania costs 5-6 times more than in Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, or other countries in the region.
Meta made the comments during a conversation with citizens on Facebook on Monday, where he also disclosed some points of the FP program.
He said that one of the points of the program to stop the decline of the population is the tripling of the baby bonus and the granting of grants to young people who want to open new businesses or start-ups.
He added that there will be loans of up to 20,000 euros for young couples and the interest will be paid by the state. “There is a clear program to support young couples with loans of up to 20,000 euros, the interest of which will be paid by the state. At the same time, there will be a 20,000 euro grant for every young person who starts a social business or startup,” he said, adding that another point of the program to stop population decline is the tripling of the baby bonus as well as mandatory life insurance in kindergartens, nurseries and everywhere where there are children.
Another problem discussed by him is the problem of salaries. The teachers go on strike and demand an increase in salaries equal to their colleagues in Kosovo. This is unacceptable, because we have a budget 2 times larger.
Further Meta said a kilometer of new road costs 5-6 times more expensive in Albania than in Greece, Montenegro and Serbia and in many other countries. “This will never happen again, but on the contrary,” said Meta. /Argumentum.al
