TIRANA, June 24 – The head of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta, said on Saturday that it is very important for Albania, for the Government, for the Assembly and for the institutions to put an end to the one-sided and provocative stance, which aims to put the institutions of Kosovo under unfair pressure.
“It is very important for Albania, the Albanian Government, the Assembly, and the institutions to put an end to unilateral and provocative interventions which aim to put the institutions of Kosovo under unfair pressure and do not help for the solution,” said Meta in a post on social networks.
According to him, it is universally clear and everything has been and remains known that the Association of Municipalities is an agreement accepted by the Government of Kosovo and it is guaranteed in the Brussels Agreement and in the Annex to the Ohrid Agreement, carried out with the support and the negotiation of the European Union, but also of the United States of America.
Meanwhile, in another event, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said on Saturday that the attack that could have happened by the person on whom a large amount of weapons brought from Serbia was found on June 23 would have great consequences.
Kurti said that Serbia has further escalated the situation by organizing terrorist attacks in Kosovo.
“Serbia is clearly positioned for the escalation of the situation. In addition to the aggression that Serbia has undertaken against the Republic of Kosovo by kidnapping 3 officials of the Kosovo Police within our territory on June 14, 2023, it has taken the fight against the legal and constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo one step further by organizing terrorist attacks,” Kurti said on Facebook.
Premier Kurti said that such weapons found on Friday were also used in the attack against KFOR members on May 29 in Zveçan by Serbian protesters. /argumentum.al
