TIRANA, April 24 – The head of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta, has spoken about the decision not to put the name of the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, on the ballot for the upcoming local power elections.
This is a game of PM Edi Rama, Meta told the media on Monday.
“The games that Edi Rama plays in the panic of the heavy loss that awaits him on May 14 with such tricks that shame the Electoral College and every institution that claims to be independent will have zero impact on the voters. It is the choice of the political forces that make up the coalition to present themselves with a name or not, and the name can and should be the same if it is necessary,” he said.
Further Meta said that there are no citizens of Tirana and Albania who do not understand that these games show the great trouble that has found Rama. “He has no candidates in front of our candidates, there are some over-tested, over-known puppets who have signed up to steal and divide the spoils of the local government together with Rama.”
The FP head said that Rama has sent a part of his former collaborators to prison because he could not keep them, some others have resigned and others are waiting for their turn to go to where the abusers of taxes and laws belong. /Argumentum.al
