TIRANA, October 7 – A scandalous decision ordered by Prime Minister Edi Rama, this is how the head of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta, considered the decision by Tirana court on Thursday, which ruled to release from jail the former deputy of the Socialist Party (SP), Alqi Bllako, changing the security measure to house arrest.
“Yesterday’s decision showed that the head of this affair is Edi Rama, neither Alqi nor Lefter (Koka). This is orchestrated justice. Because justice never acted when it should have acted. Yesterday’s release of Alqi Bllako is a fatal blow to the justice system. It is a moral loss, and it’s caused by order of Edi Rama,” said Meta. Regarding the political situation in the country, Meta said that Edi Rama’s biggest investment is the corruption and the split of the opposition, so he appealed for its unification.
“The opposition must be as united and synchronized as possible. Edi Rama’s biggest investment has been the corruption and split of the opposition. I am completely optimistic that the situation will improve thanks to our joint action and protests,” he said.
Meta recalled that local elections will be held in Albania saying this is a positive moment as political pluralism will be established.
“Today everything is controlled by a single party and the citizens are left at the mercy of monist leaders. The Freedom Party has the duty to contribute to the victory of the opposition, but also to turn the municipal councils into city parliaments,” said Meta.
