TIRANA, September 8 – The head of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta, held a meeting on Friday with the chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, one day after the Central Election Commission registered DP directed by Lulzim Basha in the electoral race of September 24 for the head of the municipality of Kukës, northeastern Albania.
Meta said the task of the opposition is to coordinate all its forces for the restoration of the rule of law.
“It is the duty of the opposition to unite all its energies and not only its own, but that of the whole society in restoring the rule of law, democracy and accountability,” he said.
Asked if he will be at the next opposition table, Meta said FP is everywhere where the commitment and contribution of the opposition is required.
Regarding opposition protests against the Socialist government, Meta said that it is important for the opposition to coordinate its agenda. /argumentum.al
