TIRANA, December 10 – The Vice Chairman of the Freedom Party (FP), Petrit Vasili, has joined the reactions within the framework of the International Day of Human Rights. Through a message on “Facebook” on Saturday, Vasili raised the question of whether Albanians have the right to achieve equal justice and dwelt on the reform of justice. According to him, this reform has been carried out in a “shameful way”.
“In Albania, a shameful Reform in Justice is being carried out. It is a pseudo-reformand the only result of it is: its total capture of justice by (PM Edi) Rama and ‘Renaissance’,” Vasili said, adding that the right to justice is experiencing the darkest days for every citizen now.
According to him, Albanians are feeling vulnerable, discriminated, disappointed, stolen and violated and this is the experience of citizens regarding the right to justice and the supposedly new justice system created after the reform. “The leitmotif of injustice for the citizens and impunity for the rulers is the face of the “new justice”!”
Vasili refers to Elez Biberaj, Director of the Voice of America for Europe and Asia, according to whom the report of the US Department of State points out that the justice reforms have been damaged by widespread corruption and Rama has tried to strengthen his power to the maximum, narrowing the public space, undermining independent institutions, filling the judiciary with loyalists under the guise of reforms.”Rama and ‘Renaissance’ have treated justice reform with the destructive motto “to seize justice at any cost and price!” Vasili said.
“Justice seized by the renaissance produced chaos and reduced the authority of justice to nothing. The failed justice reform produced frustration and reinforced impunity. No kind of propaganda can be an alibi for this intentional organizational and legal conflict with justice. This is the great truth of the reality of Human Rights in Albania as a result of the power of Rama and ‘Renaissance’ and the capture of justice by them!” concluded the Deputy Head of FP, Petrit Vasili. /Argumentum.al
