Kosovo prime minister Avdullah Hoti held Thursday a virtual meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, who sent positive signals on waving visas for Kosovo citizens, Gazeta Express reported on Thursday.
The Government of Kosovo in a statement said that Hoti and Macron agreed to hold meetings at the level of experts to be followed with a political meeting of interior ministers of the two countries to assess whether Kosovo has fulfilled the criteria to get visa liberalization.
Hoti and Macron have also discussed Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. The Prime Minister’s Office said they agreed to organize a high-level meeting like the Paris Summit to discuss the results of the EU-facilitated dialogue.
“The Prime Minister Hoti and President Macron discussed the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, and prospects of reaching a final agreement on mutual recognition under current borders. Both agreed to organize a high-level meeting to discuss the results of the dialogue similar to the format of the Paris Summit,” said the statement. /argumentum.al
