Citing the reaction of the Ambassador of the United States of America, Yuri Kim, in support of the Albanian Muslim Community which calls on the Albanian electorate not to sell the vote, as it is a contempt for human dignity, the expert at the German CDU , Martin Henze has reacted through a status on Twitter on the elections in Albania.
The citizens of this Balkan country will go to polls to elect the new 140-member parliament on April 25 this year.
Mr. Henze emphasized support for the elections and called for a boycott of the selling of the vote noting that it is very gratifying that the U.S. ambassador, clearly, takes a stand against the Rama kleptocracy.
Below is the full post of the CDU politician on Saturday:
“Ambassador, that is how we see it in the West, bravo. It is very gratifying that the U.S. ambassador, clearly, takes a stand against the Rama kleptocracy and sides with Free Albania, which is represented by the Albanian opposition.”
In a statement the Muslim community reminds Albanians that selling or buying votes, among other things, is a contempt for human dignity appealing to preserve human dignity as it is a trust from God. “VOTE should not be sold or bought!”
Such an appeal was made earlier even by Bishop of Rreshen Dom Gjergj Meta on behalf of the Catholic Church in Albania.
