TIRANA, September 15 – After the meeting that ended without results in Brussels between the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, the head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said that Kurti should resign.
“The situation created after yesterday’s failure in Brussels, with a tendency to deepen the crisis, with serious consequences for the people of Kosovo, requires urgent reflection by Kurti and his government. He must resign and return the mandate to the people,” said Haradinaj in a post on Facebook on Friday.
As a matter of fact all the opposition forces in Kosovo are against Kurti’s stance regarding the establishment of the Association of the Serb minority in northern Kosovo but none of them say if they themselves support such an alternative.
According to Haradinaj, in a democracy the best answer is the elections. “He should do this even if he thinks he is on the right path. He is obliged to ask the people what they think about his actions,” added Haradinaj.
He further said that in the event of Kurti’s lack of reflection, it remains the responsibility of others to unite and act urgently to send the country to elections, dismissing Kurti through a motion of no confidence. “It is time to ask the people how to get out of this dangerous situation,” concluded Haradinaj.
However, the question is unanswered: are the Kosovo people ready to accept the establishment of a Serb association which will lead to the creation of Republika Srpska by Belgrade similar to the one in Bosnia and Herzegovina? /argumentum.al
