TIRANA, March 31 – The head of the special prosecution for serious crimes (SPAK), Altin Dumani, said on Friday that evidence was found during the inspection of the villas of the co-habitant and ex-wife of former deputy prime minister Arben Ahmetaj.
“We don’t get permission from no one. We call anyone to interrogate, Arben Ahmetaj or whoever. Controls are in the dynamics of the investigation where the group assessed that evidence could be found in these premises. We have found evidence,” said Dumani in a press conference.
Further he said that everything is being verified and SPAK has sent letter orders in many countries, not only in one country, but it takes time. “Some have responded, some are in the process. The investigation covers everything, including the possibility of hiding assets abroad. We will definitely call Ahmetaj, if we consider it necessary,” said Dumani.
Asked about the case of the incinerators, Dumani said that it is up to the prosecutor of the case, and they are carrying out many investigative actions, with great intensity. “But first of all the prosecutor has to find illegality and then can bring out the responsibilities,” said the head of SPAK. /argumentum.al
