Human remains believed to be the bodies of Albanians killed during the 1998-99 war in Kosovo have been found in Kizevak of Serbia.
Arsim Gerxhaliu, director of Kosovo’s Institute of Forensic Medicine, confirmed that human remains were found during site assessment in a location in Kizevak near Raska inside Serbia’s territory. He said as quoted by GazetaExpress on Tuesday that after human remains were found this will slow the procedures until identification of the bodies. He said that the Institute has authorized two experts who jointly with Serbian authorities will assess the situation on the ground before the case is dealt by the prosecutor in line with the applicable laws of Serbia. Gerxhaliu said the site assessment on the same location started five years ago, but only on Monday experts have found the human remains.
