TIRANA – “The government still wants a strong Europe, but the EU has its weaknesses,” Hungarian PM Viktor Orban said in a radio interview on Friday, reported by EUobserver on Monday.
He made the comment a day after EU leaders failed to agree on a robust economic and financial plan to offset the pandemic’s fallout last week.
“In terms of coronavirus aid, for example, Hungary has received support from China and the Turkish Council,” Hungarian PM said, referring to the organisation of Turkish-speaking states.
Even some other member countries of the Union have blamed EU for apathy to help most hit countries from Covid- 19 with Italy threatening they are mulling an Ital-Exit after the end of the pandemic. /argumentum.al
