TIRANA, January 22 – The special envoy of the United States for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, has warned that there will be consequences if Montenegro does not resolve the deep political and institutional crisis that has engulfed the country for months.
Escobar has stated as quoted by Tanjug on Sunday that Montenegro is close to a collapse and that so far there has been no advantage even though two governments have fallen.
“Montenegro is in a very deep crisis. It is close to an institutional collapse that I have not seen in any country. Two governments have fallen and there has been no progress in formation of a new government. They don’t have a quorum in the Constitutional Court that can confirm the new elections,” Escobar pointed out. /Argumentum.al
