TIRANA, May 2 – The Swedish Minister for EU Affairs Jessika Roswall visits Albania 2-3 May during the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, said a press release issued by the Swedish Embassy in Tirana on Tuesday.
Roswall is visiting both in the capacity of Presidency of the EU and in national capacity as Minister for EU Affairs.
During her visit, said the press release, she will meet with civil society and media organisations, Minister for Europe- and foreign affairs Olta Xhaçka, Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro, representatives of the parliament Jorida Tabaku (DP) and Etilda Gjonaj (SP), Minister of state and EU chief negotiator Majlinda Dhuka and EU Ambassador Christiane Hohmann.
“Sweden fully supports Albania’s EU integration process. The EU’s decision to open accession negotiations with Albania is a milestone in our relations. It is a recognition of the hard and determined work done by your government and by the people of Albania,” concluded the press release. /argumentum.al
